About the Author
Dr. Yossef Lang was born in Petach Tikva in 1944. He attended local schools and earned both a master’s degree and a doctorate from Bar-Ilan University. He spent 38 years working in Israel’s Ministry of Education as a teacher, school principal, inspector, and deputy director of the Central District. A researcher of Israeli history, Dr. Lang has authored numerous books and articles on education and culture in Israel. He received the Yitzhak Ben-Zvi Prize for his book on Eliezer Ben-Yehuda and has served as a scientific advisor to the Oded Yarkoni Archive for the History of Petach Tikva.
