Avishay Golz

Prof. Avishay Golz is a physician and researcher in the field of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, and is among the leading scholars of the history of medicine in Israel. He was born in Haifa, graduated from the Technion Faculty of Medicine, and served as a Clinical Associate Professor at the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine. He headed the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Rambam Health Care Campus and served as Chair of the Israeli Society for the History of Medicine.
His research areas include the history of medicine, audiology, and pediatric otology. His writing combines clinical expertise with in-depth historical and scientific research.
All his previous books were published by Itay Bahur, including: Otolaryngology in the Land of Israel, 1911–1948 (2009); Private Hospitals in the Eretz-Israel (2013); I Seek My Family Hebrew edition, (2019); Ich suche nach meiner Familie, (2022); Dr. Yehuda Leib (Aryeh Leon) Pochovsky and the “Gilad” Hospital (2021).
