Itay Bahur
Itay Bahur is an Israeli author and publisher who specializes in factual, scholarly, poetic (creative nonfiction), documentary, historical, and reality-based literature. He has extensive experience in writing, editing, and publishing nonfiction and fact based literary works. His work combines research, literary writing, and visual elements, and he has long standing experience producing documentary and research driven books. For nearly twenty years, Bahur has also been engaged in translating, researching, and making Georgian culture and literature accessible, including extended stays in Georgia and academic collaboration.
Bahur is particularly known for his work in historical, documentary, and medical literature. He serves as the publisher for the Israeli Society for the History of Medicine and has written and edited major historical books about children’s hospitals in Israel. His work relies on archival research, primary interviews, and historical reconstruction, presenting the book as a broad cultural and historical testimony.
