Missionary medicine is often seen only as a quest for souls. This book, for the first time, also shares the perspective of the missionary physicians themselves—their beliefs, inner struggles, and moral convictions that led them to risk their own lives and those of their families in order to heal both body and soul in remote, underserved regions.
