Old Charges

Old Charges summarizes twenty years of research on rare documents that connect medieval stonemasons with the Freemasons. It includes Hebrew translations of two documents, including the second oldest, with detailed analysis of their content, structure, and historical context.
The book serves both readers seeking to study Freemasonry and members of the Order interested in the documents and their analysis. It provides a broad cultural and historical perspective, including traditions, symbols, rituals, and archival documents of lasting significance.

Daniel Doron – Freemason since 1977 at Reuven Lodge No. 1 in Haifa. Served as Lodge President (1987–88), ritual master of the Grand Lodge of Israel, regional inspector, and co-founder of Gavriel Research Lodge No. 82, serving as its president for five years. He also served as President of the Presidents’ Lodge Montefiore No. 78, currently holds the office of Third Warden (Naggid III) in the Supreme Temple of Ark of the Covenant, and has achieved the 33rd degree in the Supreme Council of Israel. His second book, Freemasonry: A Personal View, was published by Itay Bahur Publishing in 2012.
