Accessibility Statement

Itay Bahur Publishing is committed to providing equal service to all visitors and to improving accessibility for people with disabilities. We invest ongoing resources and effort in making this website accessible, in the belief that everyone deserves to browse comfortably and easily.

Accessibility Level

This website conforms to Israeli Standard 5568 (“Web Content Accessibility Guidelines”) at Level AA, based on the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, as required by the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013.

Accessibility Features

  • Full keyboard navigation: all menus (including sub-menus), forms, galleries, dialogs and interactive components can be operated by keyboard alone (Tab, Enter, Esc, arrow keys).
  • “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page.
  • Screen reader support: semantic HTML5 + ARIA markup: structured headings, labelled navigation landmarks, text alternatives for buttons and icons, and clear distinction between sale and previous prices.
  • Alternative text for images.
  • Color contrast meeting the required ratio (at least 4.5:1 for normal text).
  • Control over moving content: the homepage slider can be paused, and the site respects the operating system’s Reduced Motion preference.
  • Accessible dialogs: keyboard focus is kept within open dialogs, Esc closes them, and focus returns to its origin.
  • Visible focus indication during keyboard navigation.
  • Labelled form fields throughout the site.
  • Full bilingual support: Hebrew (RTL) and English (LTR), with content language marked for assistive technologies.
  • Zoom support up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

Browsers and Assistive Technologies

The site is tested on common browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) on desktop and mobile, and is designed to work with common screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver).

Limitations and Exceptions

Despite our efforts to make all pages and components accessible, some parts may not yet be fully accessible, including third-party components (such as payment and shipping services) that are not under our full control. We continue to improve the site’s accessibility on an ongoing basis.
