Hedva Rokach
Hedva Rokach is an art photographer and author who has devoted nearly twenty years to bringing the spirit and culture of Georgia to Hebrew readers. She spent a total of about two years in Georgia, translated and published Georgian literature—including An Autumn in Tbilisi (together with Itay Bahur, 2013)—and taught master classes at academies in the country. Her art albums include Tbilisi Dream (2017), Dolls, Wadi Ara (2025), and Faces and Facets of Jewish Life in Maine (2026).
Rokach specializes in narrative photography and in the authentic documentation of people in their natural environments. Her works have been exhibited in solo shows in Israel, the United States, and Georgia, and she has received international awards in London, Paris, Tokyo, and Budapest. Her notable series include “&,” “Japanese Sushi Girls,” “Ditsi and Arbo: Villages on the Line of Occupation,” “Sevgi: World Music in a Shelter,” and “Dolls, Wadi Ara.” Her photographs are held in private and public collections.
